If you use longer rubber you get even less stretch ratio. 1" rubber stretched 1" > 5" rubber
stretched 1". Also the rubber is tight. Note how the bow arms are bending.

Here's what I made. Horribly inaccurate because of the low brace height. I may make a

I made something like that except the limbs are wood. It seems like it has a lot of power. It

umm I'm not sure what you made there. Are you using the bar ends as the forks, and the stem as
