A little update.

I had a mishap with my tigercamo kite... an 8mm steelball forkhit.
I changed my release routine and i went overconfident... the steelball chipped off a piece of the resin.
The good thing is. i was able to repair it.
I did not exactly hit the same color, but its close enough to be overlooked ;-)

And also an update on my first flecktarn experiment... i have the feeling it gets worse with ever new step .
I used some yellowish brown... does not look good... i already drilled new holes for another color

Good job on that fix I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't told me.

The flecktarn... I'm not sure if I like it yet... Let's see what the next colour does

I don´t like it either.

Comparing it to the other flecktarn sheets, this one looks more like random spread confetti rather than the packed spots on the other experiment...
i guess thats the problem ...
well i can always drill more holes and keep fixing

And i finally managed to give the flecktarn another color...
and i think i leave it that way... the first one looks quite authentic with the german and US version of it...
although there are several variations... the second one got more brownish...
well... i don´t know if that works... we will see that, when i build the slingshot from it.
I will keep the more authentic one for some later slingshot... i have enough camo kites already

Geez, how time flies... time for an update on the flecktarn project.
Since i switched from the Kite to the Raven design, i went with that one for the second flecktarn-slingshot.
As i said before, the colors are not right, but the pattern itself turned out quite nice.
But, as you can see in the pictures, the flecktarn "dots" are not prefect circles,
more like splattered dots or drops that have a random shape... i can not mimic that...

In addition i was eager to build a new mini-slingshot... and it´s also a raven... my smallest slingshot so far...
and the smallest i know with working top slots

The Flecktarn-Raven was made from a casting-resin core with black acrylic glas liners for stability
and the flecktarn casting resin scales.
I sanded it up to 1000 grit... not sure if i will polish it up... maybe later.

The Micro-Raven was made from leftover core material that i used for the Fire-Velocereaper.
(Black and red acrylic glas)
I used a 2mm drillbit instead of my usual 3mm... that´s why TGB does not fit... but TBB and TBBlue fits nicely...
which is plenty of power for indoor plinking
This one is polished as usual on a buffing wheel

I was so confused by the comparison picture. My head said that the micro raven was the full size one and I was then picturing a supersize raven...

Well, anyway, great job! Loving the colours in this one. I don't mind the fact that the dots are round. It has a certain charm.
