Default The next step

My needles are getting bent scratched and broken so I've ordered plenty more. I've got a lot of stitching ahead. I could do with sharpening my awl as it has rounded its point.
I may trim the front of the pouch to improve access but that can wait.
And then there's the finish.

Someone suggested plain olive oil. Any thoughts?

Edit:
The awl definitely needs sharpening as the glued seams are getting pushed apart rather than pierced.

Default Getting there

Front cover sewn on. Belt loop glue drying. I'll probably need to wet form the side panels before gluing as they should be shaped to fit the back panel.

I've left the flap unshaped. It will depend on the most efficient profile for drawing and replacing the frame.

The belt loop is massive in case I use the holster with a utility belt.

Keep a bar of soap on your bench and use it to lubricate the needle.

I'll try that. I was considering oil but thought it would stain the leather
