Default Sugar Maple (TTF)

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum... I recently finished a new project, it's the second slingshot I have made. It's designed to be a side shooter, and banded in TTF. My wife was kind enough to model this for me. It's made out of a sugar maple branch... and I used brass pins to hold the bands in place. This method is known as the "matchstick method". I don't remember exactly where I first saw this style of banding, but I think it was from M.J. on SSF. I made it as a nod to my country, Canada.

This is my video review and shooting:

This is how I made and banded the fork:

Like your slingshot very much, the attachment with the brass pins looks very elegant in combination with this very nice maple branch.
Seen your videos, also very nice shooting, and your presentation method - something for the boys… and maybe for the girls too…

go on to show us your creations!

Welcome to the forum. I like the design. I have yet to try banding that way, might be something I need to try soon. Keep up the good work!

Welcome! Great design. I must try this matchstick design. And, you're a lucky man, the wife is gorgeous. I look forward to your future posts. Have a blessed day.
