Default High Hammer and X-Shot Hammer

Here are a pair of extremely modified Hammerheads I started this weekend. They are both three layers of 19mm Baltic Birch plywood.
This is the "High Hammer"

...and this is the X-Shot Hammer which is still in a very rough state

The X-Shot Hammer will have four bands

i like the High Hammer very much! for targetbands is this a very nice and comfortable slingshot! with much space between your hand and the ammo. good work!

the X-Hammer reminds me on a idea that one friend of mine had some time ago, but he dont made it real, now i looking forward how the X-hammer work for you!
what do you hope from this design ? more power or more accuracy? or just a fancy design ?

How beautiful the High Hammer!
I’m completely nuts about Hammer-models!
Very Happy

The high hammer will work well, the X-Shooter... I don't know.

I tested a ring-like design a while ago, and it was a fail. I use pretty strong bands, which means I always flip my wrist down. This happened with that frame, too, and I hit the top of the ring a few times - until it broke.

I think you have to use very weak bands so you can hold the frame very steady, or you will have to attach a wrist brace.

Anyway, great workmanship!

Thanks for the feedback, Joerg. I was going to cut 1/2" straight TBG bands for the X-Shot and set it up to draw forward and then back through the ring. It is more of a design exercise than a serious attempt at a usable slingshot.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Hey Shawn!
Like them both, but why dont make a slinbow out of the X-Shooter?!
You might use 4 weak but very fast bands/tubes, and attach a
whisker bisket...
Have Fun!

OOPS! Just saw the Date of the Thread yet..
Seems im diggin a corpse Thread...
