Default Basic Natural

Another natural. Had to keep my hands busy, in 2 days I get my saw! Not that I'm counting.

Beautiful natural. Something really appealing about a traditional fork. What's the wood and the finish?

I pick my naturals up off the ground, but I think this one is Hickory. Finish is just a basic acrylic. I used all my resin up on a micarta plate that I have plans for on Friday.

I need to find these magical lands where the perfect forks are just laying on the ground. Here in my neck of the woods, the only forks I find on the ground aren't even suitable for BB shooters they're so small. All the good ones are attached, usually about 15-20 up in the air. Though I do have a cherry tree I've officially declared 'dead' (no leaves, buds or anything for 3 years now) - so it needs to come down. I have to say I'm kind of looking forward to harvesting that one.

I'm lucky, Tennessee has a much larger variety of trees than most states and it's highly overgrown. Seasoned forks are literally everywhere.
