Default All Cattys Are Beautiful

Hey all,

its been a while since my last post, but life is damn good in keeping me busy. Hope all is going well here.
I didnt find much time this summer for shooting and building our beloved slingis, but hope to find a little more time for it during this dark time of the year.
Here are a few pics of my recent work.
In Juli i was driving and got stopped by the police. Among other things they found my ready steelcore slingshot, a unfinished steelcore some bandsets and steelballs in the car. They also found my selfmade fixed blade knife in my pocket. (cmon guys who of u sometimes has a catty and a knife with u)
Here in spain its always in the point of view of the poliece if they handle it as a toy or tool or as a weapon. So i really had some discussion with that guys.
In the end they took everything and they took my german personalities, with letting me know that spain will not send anything to germany and gave me the fine. So far so good. I just got ripped of 30 h of my work and lost quiete some money with them. The knife was not even listed on the paper they gave me.
The only good side of it that spain is very tolerant about personal habbits.

Even if i studied pedagogy im kind of inconvincible about some things. So i had to build me a new edc catty and also a new blade.
They are both made out of 3,7 mm 1.2842 toolsteel which i quenched and tempered.
The scales are made out of 2 layers 1mm carbonfiber with internal aluminium pins.
I played a little bit with my old cellphonecharger and gave it a splash with mustard phosphoracid and some instant coffee. Somehow the colors are not as visible on the pics than in real.

I really like the ease of use of top slots but dont have the machines to make them direct into the steel. So i builded them out of carbonfiber.
The frame is 11,5 cm × 8,4 cm . The forktips are 2,6 cm wide.
I didnt had a forkhit with this one, but with the last one i saw a few dents in my steelballs...nothing on the sling itself
It weights almost 140 gram but due to the slim profile it disappears in the pocket.

Have a nice day
