Ok, so now i finally have the courage to order a scout from the webshop. Slingshots are not legal in NL so, i am a little scared that customs might give trouble.
I have some questions i probably should have put here earlier:
Did anyone else from NL order something from the webshop before and did it arrive? How was the description on the parcel? Did it take long to arrive?

I've never ordered anything, but all my trades so far went fine i don't think they'd confiscate bands, i think they don't even know what it is!

But if the package says "slingshot bands" they might just check it...

They might confiscate your package if it says that there are bands inside, otherwhise i don't see why they would. They probably don't know what they are anyway

The bands arrived yesterday without any problems.
Now i'm looking forward to the scout. Are there other people that ordered a slingshot from the shop/abroad before?

So i think this is really strange, you can shoot air rifles (luchtbuks), crossbows and whatnot for sport. Why wouldn't you be able to shoot a slingshot for sport?

Banning slingshots because of ****ty kids makes no sense, atleast people who are 18+ should be able to do it for sport.

In the end i guess they are not really strict about it if you behave like an adult and do it in a safe way but who knows... There's always a cranky cop somewhere.

well you can't just be walking down the street with an air rifle either.
in holland the cops look closely at the context of where you are and what you are doing.

that being the case, a slingshot prolly won't get you any attention unless and until it effects somebody else.
IE: a broken window :P
if you are walking down the street with one in your pocket and you are frisked by cops for some reason (and they do need one) then it could get you some extra trouble on top of what you are already in to.

the only people who might be especially scrutinised for slingshots are fishermen.
apparently there was some kind of controversy some time ago over fishermen who fish carp using slingshots
to shoot bait nuggets into the water.

the original reason slingshots became illegal though has to do with some kind of protest in germany where cops
were somewhat embarrassed by a bunch of people with slingshots. joerg mentions this in one of his videos.
