+1 on that some are just fine but some are very nasty imitations. I hope you have a good one.

Welcome to the party! Safety first, don't risk your eye, you'll need it to read in here!

Welcome to the nuthouse.
Geez, why did you order one of those? There's plenty of cheap wooden china slingshots which aren't as dangerous...

Or simply introduce yourself properly and ask if someone can help you out with a beginner's slingshot.

Relax, I am going to order something better soon. Any recommendations?

From the USA, you have SimpleShot or Pocket Predator which are both excellent brands. Gamekeeper John out of the UK has an excellent line as well. There is also the shop Jörg deals with out of Germany. All have excellent reasonably priced slingshots. Generally less than $40 USA.

If you plan to spend more, there are custom builders but many of these slingshots start around $150 USA and go higher. Nearby you would have Martin Whippet Slingshots (UK) and Lewis Pride Slingshots (UK).

I just found out that slingshots are forbidden to own here in Norway. Glad I did not spend a lot of money ordering something expensive.

That is such a shame. I hope you stick around though.

Are they permitted on private property like Australia?
